PK

Prapassorn K.

Bangkok · Course 1

"I had always assumed tax deductions were only relevant to business owners. This course helped me see that I had been overlooking allowances I was already entitled to — things like my insurance premiums and RMF contributions. The sessions were calm and clearly structured, which suited my pace of learning."

Wirachai C.

Chiang Mai · Course 2

"I found the comparison between SSF and RMF particularly useful. The mentoring sessions gave me a chance to ask about my specific situation, which is not something you get from reading articles online. I walked away with a clearer sense of what made sense for my timeline. It would be nice if the online materials had a printable summary."

Supawan N.

Bangkok · Course 3

"What stood out to me was the integration plan we worked on during the capstone. It brought together everything from the earlier sessions and applied it to my actual savings structure. Arthit was patient in explaining the estate tax considerations, which is a topic I had been putting off for years. I feel more settled about the next decade."

Michael T.

Bangkok (Expat) · Course 1

"As an expat who has lived in Thailand for eleven years, I assumed the tax system here did not concern me much beyond my employer's payroll. This course corrected that assumption. The deduction checklist alone was worth attending. Everything was explained in plain English, which I appreciated greatly."

Ratchanee P.

Pattaya · Course 2

"The group workshop format worked well for me. Hearing how others were thinking about their SSF allocations helped me think through my own situation differently. Siriporn explained the lock-up period rules in a way that finally made sense. I am now more confident about when to contribute and why."

Anong T.

Khon Kaen · Course 3

"I had completed the first two courses and was glad to see how this one built on them. The contribution timing strategies were something I had never considered before. The two follow-up sessions after the main course were especially helpful — I had questions once I started applying things to my own accounts that I could ask directly."

Participant Journeys

A closer look at how a few participants approached their learning and what they found useful along the way.

The Starting Point

Chalermsak, 52, a retired civil servant from Nonthaburi, had a provident fund from his previous employment but had no clear sense of what deductions he could still claim in retirement. He enrolled in Course 1 after a conversation with a neighbour who had attended.

The Approach

During the two live sessions, he worked through the deduction checklist and discovered he could claim allowances related to his health insurance premiums. The facilitator helped him understand which categories were relevant to his status as a retiree rather than an employee.

What Changed

Chalermsak reported that he felt more comfortable reading his own tax summary for the first time. He later enrolled in Course 2 to understand how a small SSF allocation might suit his situation going forward. "I should have looked into this years ago," he said.

The Starting Point

Linda, 47, a British national working in Bangkok's education sector, had been filing taxes in Thailand for six years but felt uncertain about whether she was making the most of her provident fund contributions. She had no clear picture of how her savings might look at 60.

The Approach

She enrolled in Course 3, which included multi-year projection workshops. Working alongside the facilitator, she modelled three different scenarios based on varying her RMF contributions over the next twelve years. The advisory follow-ups gave her space to refine these with her specific employment terms in mind.

What Changed

Linda left with a written integration plan she could share with her financial adviser. She described the course as "exactly the level of detail I was looking for — structured enough to be useful, but not so prescriptive that it ignored my circumstances." She has since recommended the course to two colleagues.

The Starting Point

Nittaya, 58, a small business owner from Lampang, was preparing to step back from active management of her business over the next three years. She was concerned about estate tax considerations and had several savings vehicles in place that she felt were not working together well.

The Approach

Nittaya took all three courses in sequence over six months. The capstone in Course 3 allowed her to bring all her existing savings structures into a single review. The estate tax module addressed her specific concerns about transferring assets. She attended the group workshop sessions remotely from Lampang.

What Changed

She described the experience as "gradual and thorough, which is what I needed." Her integration plan outlined a clear sequence for adjusting her contributions over the next three years. "I feel less worried about the transition now. There is a plan, and I understand the reasoning behind each part of it."
